ABUNDANCE
I was thrilled to be included in a group show at the Mowlem Theatre art space, curated by artist Tim Edgar. "Abundance" showcased a diverse array of artists local to the Purbeck region in Dorset.
Among many other excellent artists’ works, the first piece below, titled "Stone Face," was an experiment using digital painting techniques, photo scanning natural objects, and manipulating the 3D model results. I aimed to create these two-dimensional images through an accidental approach, in a collision of computer-driven methods, resulting in compositions that felt spontaneous and unplanned. "Stone Face" was one of my preferred final results. The second piece, titled "Fallen Tree," is included in the new top-floor studio at the Mowlem Theatre.
NEW WORLDS
I am delighted to have been invited to show at the Mowlem Theatre in Swanage as part of the Visual Arts initiative curated by artist Tim Edgar.
This series of images incorporates local wealden clay sculptures, 3D scans and models. My partner and I moved to the South West Coast from North London, which ignited a deeper appreciation of nature in our new surroundings. This set of images produced for my solo exhibition, New Worlds, merges the prehistoric remnants in the local environment and the chaotic architectural sprawl of the capital city.
GEO PAINT
This is a series of 3d scans that I have manipulated in Blender and tweaked in Photoshop. I have utilised various modeling, digital painting and texturing methods to achieve a chaotic appearance, broken up quality, chaos and repeated patterns. This project explored some 3d and digital tools, experimenting with these techniques to find unpredictable results.
